Win an Autographed Philippine New Wave Book

Get a chance to win one out of three copies of the Philippine New Wave Book autographed by all of the directors involved. Read more for the contest mechanics.

Write an essay answering the following questions:
1. Who is your favorite director from among those featured in the PNW book? Why?
2. What is your favorite digital film from among those done by the directors featured in the PNW book? Why?

Then, send your entry to mabie.alagbate [at] gmail.com.

Note:
1. Essay should have at least 1,000 words
2. Your entry should be in .doc file format using the following type format:
- Times New Roman, size 12
- Double-spaced

Entries must be submitted on or before August 1, 2010. The top 3 winners will be receiving the autographed copies of the Philippine New Wave book.

The said book will be launched on July 14, 2010 at the CCP at 5 pm. “Philippine New Wave: This is not a Film Movement” book will be available at Php 700.

“Philippine New Wave: This is not a Film Movement” is a book edited by Khavn De La Cruz with Dodo Dayao and Mabie Alagbate. Introduction was written by Bienvenido Lumbera. The book is published by Noel Ferrer, Instamatic Writings, and MovFest.

    This is an excellent idea to promote Filipino cinema and the book. Is this contest open for non-Filipino, international participants? If not, any idea if there is any online outlet where I can purchase the book?
