I got the chance to be in Pahiyas Festival last May 10th because of Samsung. They wanted us bloggers and other members of media to try out their cameras. I got the chance to get a hold of the Samsung PL150 which has a dual LCD screen.
Let me give you a brief background about the Samsung PL150:

If you’re into cam-whoring and would like to just have a simple, basic camera, then this is the one for you. The dual LCD feature is what cam-whores, like me would make me buy this camera because you can already assure that you’re within the frame. Although this is the selling point of Samsung PL150, it’s still not enough because of its 3.8 cm front LCD screen. It’s not really enough that you can see that you’re in the frame.
When we were in Pahiyas, the presence of the harsh sunlight makes it hard to take photos for compact digital cameras like the one I have then. I realized when I was holding a Lumix, for example, the glare is not that evident in the photos but for this one, the glare is very evident.
What I appreciate with this camera are the Sketch and Vignette Settings. I guess this is already common in the new Samsung compact cameras they’ve released recently.

I also appreciated how the colors came to life with my photos. The Pahiyas Festival is such a colorful festival that is anticipated by lots of photographers. Here’s one photo:
The memory card for this camera is the Micro SD card which is also used in mobile phones. For me it’s not really recommended because I tend to lose really small things.
Overall, I’d give this camera 6/10. Like I said earlier, if you want a basic camera for cam-whoring, well this is for you.
