A new Sony PlayStation3 with a slimmer profile with a cheaper price is now in the Sony Style store. It has a price tag of 300 USD (originally from 600 USD – the original PS3) which will probably have a regular SRP in the Philippines at around 16,000 to 20,000 pesos.
Would it lure Pinoy gamers to get their hands on Sony PS3? It could probably catch the interest to those who are just starting yet to become avid gamers but for those who were using previous PlayStation gaming consoles such as PS One and PS2, I don’t think they won’t go for the Sony PS3 Slim as the gaming console upgrade of their choice. PS2 Users might not want to upgrade to Sony PS3 Slim because the PS2 Games are not backwards compatible with it. As for PS One Games, not all are compatible with Sony PS3 Slim.
