LolaTechie, BayanTel’s online viral marketing on their product BayanTel DSL made a lot of Filipino internet users add “her” up on various social networking websites. Most people who have added LolaTechie on Facebook were superpoked by now. :D

Blogger: Turning 10 on August 10

Blogger.com is turning 10 this coming August 10. :D Blogger is actually the first blogging platform that I’ve used (in 2001). I used it for a couple of years before switching to Wordpress. So, if you are currently using Blogger.com, Google wants to hear your say on “What has your blog meant to you?”. You can answer the question by posting first to your blog on Blogger.com and fill out a form here to send the link to your blog post. You will also be asked if it’s okay to share your story with the press.

myPinoy.tv: Philippine Entertainment at your Fingertips

I just browsed over myPinoy.TV and it seems that most of the shows that are being streamed there for a price (yes, it is not free) are mostly from GMA7. This one of course is targeted for our fellow Filipinos abroad who have a fast internet connection. Read more »

LolaTechie and BayanTel DSL

LolaTechie looks like BayanTel DSL’s social media marketing strategy. Our favorite “techie lola” has accounts on Plurk, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Multiply. I would not wonder why Lola Techie won’t have a Friendster account for obvious reasons. Read more »

The website is a common platform to be used by the candidates (for now, they only focus on the Presidentiables) where each of their profiles are shown and how will they address the issues listed. Read more »

Most Filipino iPhone Users have updated to Apple iPhone OS 3.0 while some stayed with their current firmware the redsn0w (jailbreak for iPhone OS 3.0) came out. Some are also excited about the iPhone 3GS as well but users in the Philippines will still have to wait (if ever they plan to get it from Globe Telecoms). iPhone OS 3.0: Finally!

Everyone was becoming impatient with the release of the iPhone 3.0 OS update in iTunes. I was one of those. Anyway, I did not download it from iTunes by clicking the Update button. Instead, I learned a tip from TUAW where I only have to execute a few command lines from the Terminal and I will be able to get the list of the download links. I got the correct download link and pasted it to my browser. Time to download was pretty fast and I was excited. :D Installing is also easy. ;) And if you see emergency calls appear on your iPhone screen, just wait for the main screen of the iTunes to load with the heading “Unlock your iPhone”. After activating your iPhone, you’re good to go :D
