Acer Tempo Smartphone Series

Acer’s move in joining the Smartphone competition is not really going to compete head-on with their own products. It’s actually more of a complement. All of the smartphones will be running on Windows Mobile 6.1 which I think would be a hindrance to would-be switchers especially if they would prefer the Symbian OS.

The User Interface though is pretty impressive and as well as the touch feedback of the phone.

Most phones have an elegant design but the DX650 design is I think that something should have been re-thought of before it was released to the market.

Another thing that I’ve noticed is that it’s talk time is around 4 to 6 hours whereas the standby time is 150 hours or so. The talk time is way too far from its standby time. With this, I don’t think that businessmen or executives would choose a phone that has low battery performance. I do hope they improve this in the future.
